Using wire rod for example, price represents the most-traded spot price for the most-used product (specifications), weight is decided according to production and consumption importance of the market, and composite price is calculated from weighted average calculation. SteelHome index is the result of composite price is put against the composite price on the benchmark day Sep 28, 2004, the day when SteelHome is found.
